Mikayla
Have you ever been in the room with a natural born star? I have!
Mikayla, the youngest of the ladies featured in the Nurture Collection, is as dynamic as they come! Not only does she exude star power, but she is an obvious leader and young person on a mission: to give back to her community by using her platform as the Miss New Hampshire USA Ambassador Preteen. The slogan of a preteen ambassador is "Success through Leadership, Integrity, Character, and Confidence" (SLICC). I believe Mikayla is a beautiful example of that. Mikayla feels honored to wear her crown in service to other children in her community. Mikayla, along with her mom and sister, have started Trendy Trades, a clothing, and accessory swap event. 100% of the proceeds go to Womenade. She also held a salsa and bake sale. With these two events, she has raised close to $1,000.00 for Womenade. When asked why she likes to support Womenade, Mikayla says, "So parents can be less stressed about money and spend more quality time with their kids." In addition, Mikayla has collected 258 toys for Toys for Tots and raised $630.00 for the Boston Children's Hospital walk on June 10th. Mikayla said, "If I can help one sick child, then I have done a good job."

Mikayla would like 25% of the sale of her design to go to Womenade."Womenade of Greater Squamscott is a non-profit 501c3, organized in 2005 to provide local residents with short-term financial assistance not readily available through other resources. Anonymous requests are received from community validators such as school nurses, guidance counselors, doctor's offices, clergy, social service organizations, hospice and more. Requests are reviewed by the Womenade Board and if approved, payment is made promptly to the service provider."
